Visit the Royal Delft Museum

Paintbrushes carefully touch the white earthenware, whilst elsewhere clay is poured into handmade moulds. It is here, at Royal Delft, that craftsmen have been creating iconic Delft Blue for almost 400 years. Royal Delft, established in 1653, is the last remaining Delftware factory from the 17th century that still produces hand painted Delft Blue according to centuries-old tradition. Discover all about the history, craftsmanship and innovation of this royal company during your visit.

Museum and Brasserie1653 closed until further notice

Sunday 16 March 2020 new regulations were presented by the Dutch government to prevent the spread of the Corona virus. Following these measures Royal Delft has shut the museum and Brasserie1653 until due notice. For the time being the shop will remain open.

We regret not being able to receive guests the coming period, but the safety and health of our staff and guests are our primary concern. Everybody that has purchased an online ticket for this period, is more than welcome when our doors open again.

If you have a reservation for a guided tour, workshop or high tea the coming weeks we will contact you this week.

To stay up to date you can follow the developments on this website or follow us on social media. For questions you can send an e-mail to info@royaldelft.com.

We wish everybody the best for the coming period and stay in good health!
